To Subject Dear MacEwan Administration , As a [Student, Staff, Faculty, Community Member], I am outraged by your administration’s silence regarding the ongoing genocide of Palestinians. For months now, your students have been rightfully taking a stand against these brazen violations of human rights, yet you have chosen to remain silent and continue your involvement by concealing financial information and maintaining investments in Israeli institutions involved in numerous war crimes. The People’s University for Palestine calls upon this institution to: Disclose all institutional and financial investments. Specifically with Israeli and Zionist institutions and all companies financially complicit in the occupation and subsequent genocide of Palestinians. Divest from these complicit companies and all such investments. Defend the right to protest by granting amnesty to all participants. Declare, via an immediate statement, a condemnation of this genocide and call for the Canadian government for a two-way arms embargo and to end all military contracts with Israel. We expect MacEwan University to meet these demands set out by your tuition-paying students. Anything less is an endorsement of the Zionist regime’s continued use of violence and oppression. We vehemently oppose this money being used towards upholding the Israeli regime in Palestine and contributing to the ongoing genocide in Gaza.
